words from wordle 1,960

YAHOO naturally invited exclamation, relief, and absurdity. Lari and Jonesy turn it into a response to the Wordle process itself, Debbie uses it as a failed oracle, Robo as pure noise, and Mark as comic punctuation.

The most effective poems gave YAHOO a reason to be shouted. Mick’s does that especially well: the word arrives not as a required flourish, but as a believable reaction to finding something amid the wreckage.

Diana Marie 4/6
FORCE a calming smile
Noisy ROUGH house, no BOARD games
MOTOR home too small…

Debbie Wilson 4/6
A question to STUMP…
Be ALONE or with a BOARD?
YAHOO doesn’t know

Jonesy 5/6
Word SWAMP: to ARGUE
Dictionary: word CADDY
Wordle FAINT: YAHOO.

Robo 5/6
The ROAST fire burn strong
ALOUD the CANON BAZOO
Screamed out big YAHOO!

Lari 6/6
BURNT out! PLEAD uncle!
COMMA, AVOWS and KAZOO
Lead to word, YAHOO!!!

Mark 4/6
Poem 1
TRAIL truths FABLE
SAUCY climber, warning primer
YAHOO is all he said

Poem 2
An early TRAIL hike
Nature FABLE turns SAUCY
YAHOO… enough said

Mick 4/6
CLEAN, waterlogged TARPS
cling to BAYOU flotsam —
YAHOO! My rolltop!

what it is

  • worku is a daily practice where your wordle guesses become a haiku
  • use your guesses in the same order you played them
  • aim for imagery and flavor over perfect grammar
  • add a touch of nature, humor, or irony

“Worku is good for saying what you are thinking, which is why I have so many about cheese. Nice finding a place.” — Mark
