Today’s Worku opens the PURSE, a familiar object that can hold money, secrets, clutter, evidence—or the final detail in a larger story. The stronger poems do more than mention it: they make the purse reveal character. Debbie’s speaker nurses a gin while denying a theft, B-lu turns it into the last item collected before a departure, and Mick hides a sweet comic reversal inside an elderly man’s “dream date.” Elsewhere, purses are searched, purged, emptied, and reluctantly opened. There may be more inside this round than anyone is admitting.
