words from wordle 1,959

SLIDE gave this group a strong vocabulary of movement, especially downward movement. Diana uses it indirectly through confinement and frustration, Lari makes it literal and comic, auntie jj turns it into a conscious movement away from snideness, and both of Mark’s poems build their entire structure around the tension between climbing and falling back.

The strongest pieces made SLIDE feel like more than descent. It became consequence, redirection, gravity, or altered momentum. That gave the word emotional and structural weight rather than leaving it as a final action.

Debbie Wilson 3/6
Not much of a TRICK
The SLIME trail a tell-tale sign…
A snail did SLIDE by

Diana Marie 4/6
FORCE a calming smile
Noisy ROUGH house, no BOARD games
MOTOR home too small…

Jonesy 4/6
BREAK Bad. The MODEL.
TITLEwave SLIDE producing
Inequality.

Robo 4/6
The CAUSE was unjust
The SLOAP SLIME made me SLIDE
Harsh reality

auntie jj 4/6
FIGHT the inner DRIVE
to add a mean and SNIDE quip
SLIDE toward gratitude

Mark 4/6
Poem 1
LIGHT, FRAIL aspirations
Strive and CLIMB
And a fated SLIDE back

Poem 2
LIGHT breaks, FRAIL prelude
Need to CLIMB up that ladder
While hopes SLIDE away

Lari 4/6
CRANK the green lever.
We want the WHOLE tub of SLIME
To SLIDE down on him.

Mick 3/6
WEARY heart stumbles,
sogwalking CLIME —
her smile slows the SLIDE

what it is

  • worku is a daily practice where your wordle guesses become a haiku
  • use your guesses in the same order you played them
  • aim for imagery and flavor over perfect grammar
  • add a touch of nature, humor, or irony

“Worku is good for saying what you are thinking, which is why I have so many about cheese. Nice finding a place.” — Mark
