words from wordle 1,958

MOTOR gave this group a lot of forward motion, but not always literal movement. Debbie lets it enter as sound; Robo uses its hum as persistence; Jonesy and Lari turn it into resolve; auntie jj makes it self-command; Mark makes it getaway energy; and Mick turns it inward, where MOTOR becomes the mechanism of escape itself.

The stronger poems made MOTOR do more than simply mean “keep going.” It became sound, pressure, propulsion, or psychological machinery. That gave the word more weight than a generic closing push.

Debbie Wilson 4/6
A CRISP taco, QUART
of beer, a METER away
A MOTOR revving

jonesy 4/6
YEARN to reconstruct.
Assemble now the RIGHT TROOP
and MOTOR ahead!

Robo 3/6
The CROWN had been lost
The ROAST went on without pause
The MOTOR still hummed

auntie jj 4/6
why do i CRAVE FLOUR?
a MINOR diet mishap
just MOTOR through urge

Lari 3/6
Ugh, I TOUGH it out.
No buying LOTTO tickets!
Just MOTOR on by…

Mark 4/6
Poem 1
The spot LIGHT shines TENSE
The CATTY thief spins a yarn
MOTOR revs, mates flee

Poem 2
Morning LIGHT, TENSE
The CATTY poodle jabbers
MOTOR on you K9 rapscallion

Mick 4/6
Poem 1
the shame PRONG,
CAROM from a RUMOR,
a MOTOR for escape

Poem 2
a PRONG impales me
CAROM from dimwit RUMOR —
my MOTOR racing

what it is

  • worku is a daily practice where your wordle guesses become a haiku
  • use your guesses in the same order you played them
  • aim for imagery and flavor over perfect grammar
  • add a touch of nature, humor, or irony

“Worku is good for saying what you are thinking, which is why I have so many about cheese. Nice finding a place.” — Mark
