Before reading, a quick note on constraint not as limitation, but as a field of choices.

What’s striking about today’s poems is how differently SPINY behaves.

In some, it’s defensive — barbs out, protecting a soft center.

In others, it’s messy — the after effects of chaos, clumsiness, or a night gone sideways.

There’s a musical use too — hair, voice, pitch, presence sharpened into edge.

And finally, a moral turn — spiny as backbone, as refusal to go limp when heat is required.
Same word. Four postures and that’s the Worku sweet spot: constraint not as limitation, but as a field of choices.

what it is

  • worku is a daily practice where your wordle guesses become a haiku
  • use your guesses in the same order you played them
  • aim for imagery and flavor over perfect grammar
  • add a touch of nature, humor, or irony

“Worku is good for saying what you are thinking, which is why I have so many about cheese. Nice finding a place.” — Mark
