As worku approaches its first anniversary (23 September 2026!), I’ve begun going back through every poem from the past year, month by month.
I’m looking at more than statistics. I want to understand how the form has developed, which poems and experiments have helped define it, how individual worki have grown, and what we’ve learned about turning word game guesses into haiku.
The finished project will include plenty of statistical details, but it will also highlight memorable poems, recurring styles, difficult constraints, and the techniques that make worku fun and worth playing.
I’m planning to share it as part of our one-year Worku celebration🥳
What would you most like to learn from a full year of worku? Your own statistics? Favorite poems and constraint words? How your writing has developed? The strangest or hardest rounds? Something else entirely?
