words from wordle 1,932

PEEVE was one of those constraint sets that practically invited zappai. The words were odd enough that simply making them inhabit the same little world became part of the craft. Lari gets there through character and irritation, Robo turns PIECE into a surprisingly tender heart image before swerving into the final complaint, and Diana pushes the language toward social satire.

This is the kind of Worku round where coherence itself feels like a win. The strongest pieces don’t try to disguise the weirdness of the constraints; they give that weirdness a voice, a scene, or an internal logic and let PEEVE arrive as the natural consequence.

Debbie Wilson 4/6
A FLAME of red hair
A CURSE? That will HINGE on if…
It’s your PEEVE or not

Diana Marie 5/6
SPURN ADEPT advance
Gave PIECE to the eager PLEBE
That did PEEVE brigade

Robo 4/6
She was PROUD to PASTE
The PIECE missing from his heart
It was her pet PEEVE

auntie jj 4/6
i TRIED to drop BLAME
without a SHOVE, just a nudge
foul sink a pet PEEVE

Lari 4/6
“Give me some SUGAR!”
Said the old BLOKE with a CHIME.
Ugh, my biggest PEEVE!

Mick 6/6
ALIGN the RUMOR …
make it BEEFY, with big TEETH —
he WEEPS, my pet PEEVE

what it is

  • worku is a daily practice where your wordle guesses become a haiku
  • use your guesses in the same order you played them
  • aim for imagery and flavor over perfect grammar
  • add a touch of nature, humor, or irony

“Worku is good for saying what you are thinking, which is why I have so many about cheese. Nice finding a place.” — Mark
